Our History
From its beginnings in Bentfeld to the modern production site in Borchen
Starting in Bentfeld on just a few square meters of storage and production space in 1986, Giesguth has continuously developed into a high-performance supplier for the wood and furniture industry. Today, we have state-of-the-art facilities, large storage areas and a Europe-wide network – what has remained is the commitment to quality, precision and reliability.

1990
Start of production for slatted frame and furniture industry.
1995
Expansion to the Czech Republic (joint venture).
1997
Acquisition of the shares from our joint venture partner.
1998
New production facility in Romania.
2002
Change of generation – Dirk Giesguth takes over the management.
2003
Opening of a modern sawmill with drying chamber in Romania.
2004
Relocation from Bentfeld to Borchen. New construction of a modern production site with more space and improved manufacturing options.
2005 - 2007
Expansion to approx. 5,000 m² of production & storage space.
2008
Closure of the production facility in the Czech Republic.
2012
Completion of a new storage hall with approx. 2,500 m².
2013
Relocation of solid wood production from Romania to Montenegro.
2014
Manufacture of high-quality solid wood furniture exclusively in Germany.
2015
Increase of the production and storage area to a total of 10,000 m².
2017
Expansion of the administration building to approx. 550 m².
2018
Commissioning of 550 kWp PV system + e-charging stations.
2018

Commissioning of a wood chip system and wood pellet press for ecological residual wood recycling.
2021
Our founder Anton Giesguth dies at the age of 76.
2022
New warehouse concept including high-bay warehouse with 500 pallet spaces.

Our founder Heinz-Josef dies at the age of 75.
2023
Christopher Fröhleke becomes second managing director.
2025
Expansion of our storage capacities through new acquisition and cultivation by a further 2,500 m².
